Viktor smiled and proceeded to help others as they came in so he and Tucker could have some time together.

Tucker forced a bit of a smile at Bryce. "I know it's been a few days..." He really hoped that Bryce could remember when he last ate, then he could gauge his appetite appropriately.

"That it has. I didn' even see you last Saturday, but that's probably my fault, I didn't get to stay very long." As he spoke, he began putting together a small-ish plate, figuring it would be best to play on the safe side in case the boy wasn't feeling too well. A sandwich, a few pieces of fruit... He added an extra carton of milk, knowing it was sometimes easier to get liquids down than solid food. Last but not least, an apple strudel, warmed for a few seconds in the microwave. "Y'know, I was wonderin'. Have you found any place t'stay yet? You know you're always welcome over by my place, it's no trouble." Bryce gave a small smile, handing over the loaded tray. "Deedee's been missin' you."
{Note: Deedee is a young long-haired black cat. Loves people in general, oddly well tuned to magic.}

"I told you before, I can't stay anywhere. It makes work harder if I'm not out there constantly." Tucker said, taking the tray of food. He didn't care to really eat, but the nagging creature that shared his body would not let him go without.

Bryce gave a soft sigh, getting a bottle of juice out of the fridge for a young woman he knew to be lactose intolerant. "Yeah, I know. Still, my door's always open in case you need some place to sleep." Part of him wanted to ask if the boy had found anything more steady for employment, but he had discovered the hard way that the young man's 'job' was one of the few things in the city that needed to be constant, despite how harshly it treated the kid. Someone needed to keep an eye on the underworld while Miles had his eyes elsewhere... "Say, before I forget, are there any new arrivals I should know about? I've been meanin' t'drop by Miles, but I just haven't gotten around to it this week." Usually, he tried to drop by the club at least once a week, just to keep up on things, but ever since one of the bloke's had gotten laid off at the range, he'd been working overtime.

"Well, you already met Vik. He's a good guy... and not just because he's an angel. But there's some half-snake thing, and a new doctor that may be rooming in Emmerich's building, maybe closer. Also, there's a guy and his chimera who thought it would be good to not see Miles rightaway, and he assaulted Babylon."
Tucker tapped his chin, thinking a little. "That's all I know off the top of my head."

"What?!" Bryce nearly dropped the plate in his hands, fumbling a moment before he was able to set it on the counter. "Is Babs okay?" Of all the things to nickname a devil...

"To my knowledge, there's no damage, just bruises and possible animosity."

The man visibly relaxed, handing off another plate. "Oh good." The last few stragglers finally fed, Bryce retrieved his own meal, pulling up a stool to the counter and grabbing an extra for the skinny young man, obviously hoping to continue the conversation. "So, Emmerich might wind up with a roomie? Met the guy yet?" He's seen chimeras before, but it wasn't every day Night City found itself a new doctor.

"I havent. Probably would have if Vik dragged me into the ER."
Which... was not far from the truth. Tucker was gunning for another trip to the ER. It was a monthly thing for him, depending on the frequency of his sex or how good or bad the heroin he was shooting was. He nibbled at the bits of fruit.

"Ah." Bryce quickly took a gulp from his soda, knowing that if he let himself respond without thinking he'd probably end up saying something stupid. Again. After a moment, he swallowed, cracking a small smile. "Well, at least it hasn' come to that yet, ey?"

"Yeah... so far, so good." Tucker said, opening one of the cartons of milk and guzzling it like he had never drank a thing.

So the milk was a good idea. Bryce sat back, letting the conversation lull as he ate. He would be happy to carry on the conversation, but he was really quite hungry after the long day's volunteering.

Tucker looked up and motioned to Viktor, trying to invite him over to sit with them.
