((keeping this open for other characters who want to meet Tucker for the first time))
Tucker waved once and turned away. Now, he had to go find an appropriate gutter. And maybe some food... though he wasn't quite hungry. Maybe a stop at the soup kitchen would do him good...

He had just graduated from highschool when he first found the soup kitchen, a small battered building hidden away behind a second hand store and the gutted ruins of what was once a Chinese laundry. At the time, he had still been awkward, painfully shy around pretty much everyone. The discovery of the volunteer-run facility and the people behind it had become something to cling to; so long as he was helping others, he didn't feel so out of place himself. And the homeless didn't care who fed them, no matter their past. Now, five years later, holding down a job during the day and herding wayward sheep at night, Bryce still managed to drop by the soup kitchen every Saturday and Sunday, always with some extra treat for the workers and the people standing in line. Today, it was fruit strudel, fresh and piping hot from a wonderful little bakery he had recently come to frequent. "Hey, evenin' Mrs. Abernathy, how's the kids? Oh, watch y'step there, Judas, we're still gettin' that step fixed, sorry." Bryce chatted amiably with everyone, offering a warm smile and a sweet treat to all.

Viktor felt in the long hours that Germain was away He needed to do something so he decided to go out and look for something. What he found was a soup kitchen and he asked if he could volunteer to help. Luckily they accepted him and with his wings folded neatly behind his back he fed the homeless and he often go them to smile. He hadn't noticed the Bryce fellow come in.

Having lived in Night City for some years, Bryce had gotten used to seeing some of the odder residents, especially since a large portion of them tended to frequent places like the soup kitchen. But when he turned around to refill his basket of treats and found an angel tending the end of the line, he couldn't help but stare a moment before breaking out in a smile. "Takes all kinds..." Introductions later, there was still a rather lengthy line of hungry people to tend to. Bryce grabbed up another few dozen strudels, returning to his place and greeting an elderly woman.

There few women in a row near him and each one stared at his wings and as they all came Viktor couldn't help but blush. It hurt him a little that they were either homeless or didn't have enough money to buy food.
"Sir?" one asked. Viktor smiled and gave her, her food.
"Jes?"
"Where on earth did you get those beautiful things on your back." Viktor looked at her for a second, thinking of an answer. He most certainly wasn't going to tell her right here and now that he had to go through an emotional hell to get them, so he stuck with an answer that was close to the truth.
"Giving up mein time to help ozahs like I aum now." she smiled at him and patted his cheek before she walked on and Viktor chuckled a little.

Only a short distance down the line, Bryce couldn't help but overhear, and gave a soft laugh. Melissa was such a darling, honest and sweet. She had been homeless for almost 3 years now, unable to find employment due to her early-onset Alzheimer's. Pretty much the entirety of the volunteer staff had given the woman a place to stay at one time or another, and she never ceased to be a wonderful person. Some twenty minutes later, the line finally dwindled down to a last few strays, and the staff director told everyone to go take a break for their own meal. Most of the volunteers dispersed, breaking off into their own little groups heading for their own spots in the kitchen or the break room, a couple wandering off in amongst those they were helping or going home. Bryce remained behind the counter, waving to a few of the more regular visitors as he took out his own lunch from his backpack, a tupperware of leftovers he set off to the side to help a man with one arm get his food to a table.

Viktor leaned against the counter and he pulled out his bag and pulled out his lunch. It wasn't much, just a sandwich, a drink and of course, his chocolate bar. He noticed how homely this place was and he liked the feel of it.

Bryce was pleasantly surprised to find the angel lingering at the counter, and figured now was as good a time as any to introduce himself. He strode up beside the other man, a smile on his face as he rested against the countertop. "Awful nice t'see new faces helpin' out."

It took Tucker more time to decide to actually go into the soup kitchen than he did to find it. He didn't like to depend on others, and he wasn't really hungry. But he couldn't remember what time he last ate, and the hissing voice of a cauchemar in his head was urging him to eat something.
With a fresh injection wound in his arm, he pushed the doors open like he owned the place. All the faces were too familiar, and a few people nodded at him and he waved back as he made his way to the counter. He saw Viktor there, and was not really surprised. He knew the other face, but he hadn't seen him in a long time, not since he had gotten into a bad scrap and needed a place to hide for a few days.

The offered hand was taken with enthusiasm, his work callused palm giving a vigorous shake. "Bryce Langley. Int'restin' accent y'got there, German?"

Bryce gave a soft laugh, straightening as he heard footsteps approaching. "Interestin's more like it." He turned to see who had come in, and smiled broadly at the young man, though it faded slightly upon seeing how thin the boy had become since he'd last seen him. And he'd been doing so well too... "Hey Tucker, long time no see! How's the appetite t'day?"
